WILBURTON – Heavener’s track teams had a good start to the season Thursday at the Wilburton Meet.

For the Lady Wolves, the 4 x 800 relay team of Destiny Lawson, Aurora Martinez, Faith Wann and Cheyenne Wilburn finished second.

Wilburn was second and Wann sixth in the 1,600. Lawson was second in the 3,200 and Martinez came in fifth.

Brooklyn May was third in the discus and fifth in the shot. Mae Mae Alexander was sixth in the shot and discus.

On the Wolves, Jose Ramirez won the high jump. The 4 x 800 relay team of Elijah Cook, Stevan Cruz, Tony Adkins and Jesus Leyva were second. The 4 x 400 relay team of Leyva, Adkins, Cruz and Macedonio Jacinto finished fourth.

Elijah Cook was second in the 1,600 and the 3,200 runs. Cruz placed fourth in the 1,600 and the 3,200.

Ryan Moore was second in the discus and fifth in the shot while Garrick Caldwell was sixth in the discus.

Heavener is hosting its track meet Tuesday at Harvey Stadium.
