If Thursday’s Class 5A tournament games against Poteau were the last time Heavener’s Rayannah Ward got to play at her home field, she made the most of it.

Ward homered four times, including a walk-off game winner in the first game, as the Lady Wolves overcame Poteau 18-17 in eighth innings and 17-7 in the second game to win the tournament and advance to the regional tournament next week.

Heavener improves to 26-7 while Poteau finishes its season at 6-14.
